I have enjoyed this story so far. However, the fact that our main couple are weeping more over the fact that she can’t have any more kids rather than the fact that their 1st born child has possibly died seems rather cold. I would expect a few chapters of utter heartbreak over just that alone. I mean, yea, as a monarch its important to continue lineage. But, it makes readers feel like the couple we care about just think that kids are expendable. It makes them read a bit selfish. And that doesn’t sit well. I wish this part was written differently.
