i have a theory i want you all to hear me out on. i know this might just be my ‘seeing the good in bad people’ or the fact i forgive to easily personality but just listen.

the mother is a mage, yeah? and typically in these stories mages have all sort of abilities, not just one. like sure, they might have specialities but usually in manhwa with mages they have all sort of different branches of power. one of which is mind control. i mean, she managed to erase the memories and calm the FL as a baby so why couldnt she use a similar thing like mind control.

so my theory is that she used some sort of manipulation on the father.

the reason why is because, the mother died recently and now the father is actually starting to seem like a man with a opinion. during the flashback parts where he said about not doing things for the FL, it was all because the wife said so. like i think he would of let her continue if the mother didnt say anything. the way it is looking it seemed like the father just did whatever the mother wanted him to do to secure the brothers place.

And like the FL said, when she died she got her memorises back, so maybe now she died the mind control or whatever she did to the father might be coming undone.

NOW! im not trying to defend what the father has done to the FL. the whole family had wronged her badly. this is all just a theory as im curious now why after the mother died it looks like the father actually has a opinion rather then just following the mothers orders.
