I’m so glad she finally confided in Rouche! Poor guy has been trying so hard to help her. Maybe we’ll make headway with her insecurities now.
I’m assuming Callis has also been infected with the black smoke/demon. Sounds like everyone that stays in prolonged contact with her becomes a victim to it and it warps their actions. I do feel bad for Callis but at the same time, High Priest Amos was not affected so clearly it can be resisted. And even infected, Callis messed up on such a massive level that it can’t be brushed aside. Understood, yes. Forgotten, no.
