CP seems like just as much a victim of his birth as the male lead. his uncle obviously intends to make him into a puppet king & CP doesnt have the strength to stand up to him yet so he hides behind an insincere smile like its a mask. i think the 2 princes are similar in this way- they both keep their most genuine emotions & kindness bottled up deep inside.
