I mean, Its not impossible for rulers of different countries to be married while their kigdoms are separated and independant from each other. Isabel I of Castilla and Fernando II of Aragon were married, had children etc but they still were rulers of their own and Castilla and Aragon still had different laws, different currency, different traditions etc. Even tho the rulers were married Aragon and Castilla didnt merge into the same crown until later under their grandchild, that also was the emperor of the holy roman germanic empire inherited it all.
