I’m guessing the Stokes plan to slowly kill Blanche from food deprivation. Eventually, her body will grow weaker, she’d become sickly and die. Then once princess Blanche is gone, since the Queen and King doesn’t use the same bedroom, the nobles will pressure the king to take on a second wife to produce an heir to the throne.
