He’s not her man, objectively he’s somebody who likes her only who she’s been acting like lately (doesn’t matter if she stays that way), he’s currently rushing all the wedding stuff specifically because she said she doesn’t want to marry him (meaning he’s still only really thinking about what he wants). He may not have liked how she used to act, but she’s a person too. He didn’t have to treat her as literal lint in a pocket.

i really like this FL. i like the way she thinks. she doesnt give a shit about love, she cares about being respected. she cares about having a good position. she cares about not fucking DYING. i think she’s going to learn about the joys of true love and i am happy to see that, but it is nice tjhat she’s so pragmatic about her future. i can see why she is the way she is
