They didn’t include one of my favorite scenes from the novel. After Clerivan showed Shanet how to differentiate the checks, she asked him how he knew about it and he told her that it’s “trade secret”. In the same way, after Tia told Shanet about who the forger was, Shanet asket Tia how she found out and Tia told her it’s “trade secret”, which reminded Shanet of the scene with Clerivan 😆
