I think the issue is they each appeal to a different aesthetic on opposite ends of the mature vs. cute spectrum. A design choice made to emphasize how differently they each approach obstacles in their lives. It’s not that Seori isn’t pretty it’s that she’s a cutesy type of pretty which anyone who reads enough of these types of isekai will automatically associate with a manipulative green tea b*tch.
