She clearly stated WHY the both of them fell in love… Because of the circumstances! But now the circumstances have changed. Of course people will act differently. To think her entire plan was based on these two falling in love was down right stupid and careless and also forcing and manipulating them into the situation that was favorable for her. This is one of my biggest pet peeves of these types of stories, he was acting as if he was a prince and what she did was wrong, but he only revealed it afterwards. You should not be punished for acting appropriate manner to a person that has not identified themselves, even if they turn out to be royalty he was hiding who he was to enjoy the anonymity thus should be reasonable to assume that he should not have enjoyed being treated as a prince before he declared himself as so
