Okay, I don’t know if magic exist or not but I’ll explain my theory. This girl had a memory loss in the form of transference. Her memories were put into another child that looked identical (or was created with the same biology and those 10 years of memories). The birthmark may have been put there biologically after extracting the skin, since birthmarks are just marks on skin
