towards the end they talk of smth that sounds like a prophesy, when the basilisk ( apparently under control of black hair girl ) rises or awakens or wtv, shit will hit the fan basically.
basilisk is a mythical monster that turns ppl into stone on eye contact. i hope that helps.

Pelta was bullied and isolated from everyone which I’m thinking mc had no idea of and kept going on with her life. So, Pelta got caught by some devil because Pelta knew that everyone hated her, so she didn’t care whether the world ended or not. Basically, her whole life was in the negative zone and the dark energy seduced a devil into making his plans successful. While maybe mc was traveling somewhere when this happened or just in her room, this happened and Pelta asked her “Why now?” As in “why are you trying to save me now..” when she just made some contract with some devil. Basically, I think mc’s dragon will have some power left and turn back time with however much power he/she has left— which is 6 years by the manga description. I think I covered everything, sorry if it doesn’t make sense for other readers. (´◕ ᵔ ◕`✿)

for everyone complaining that they’re speaking really weirdly, as you can see from the outfits and scenery; this is based in near the end of the 1800’s or probably mid-1800, so their talk is different to ours. it’s more formal than the modern language. where we have slang words and abbreviations, they don’t. but tbh, there are a few mistranslations (i’m guessing??) for me to completely understand which era of time they are in. however, it’s obvious that vivian (or whoever the white haired woman is) wanted to kill ethan because she’s dangerous and can control some sort of black or dark magic, and is probably fuflling an ancient prophecy, and sethan is trying to help her bc she’s just a child and can never do something so cruel. correct me if i’m wrong.
