my guess is that the temple is trying to keep everything true to the “novel” (god’s will in this case) by suppressing the mana of this light family throughout the generations until it’s time. Her family is also against the marriage because she weren’t the one who supposed to be married into the family, it has to be the heroine that marries into the family first and with Abel, not the father.
But it could’ve been as well that “persona” literally meant that they’re trying to control Abel, who apparently has something demonic of being inside of him ( I might be wrong), and the heroine got close to him in order to be able to control it to exploit him in someway. Just my guess.

THEORY TIME! I reckon Aisha is the one who was basically the incarnate of the uh saintess lady who made the promise 500 years ago, but the temple knows and doesn’t want her to be more powerful than them so they tricked and lied to the dad, saying bad stuff will happen probably or threatening him so he gave the pills to Aisha, and it suppressed her mana and they might’ve given it to every possible candidate in the family previously who couldve been the saintess lady so they’d never have to deal with her. Also, I think the reason she entered this world has something to do with the fact that it was the day she was about to ask the author that question. So yeah. But remember this is just a theory. A MANHWA THEORY.
