For those of you who are confused it looks like the duke wasn’t actually in on killing her parents, that does not excuse his behavior on the wedding night, to blackmail the FL into having the wedding night for her lover’s life even if the lover proves false is still wrong, she did accept such a deal but it can be considered a deal under duress therefore the action itself can be called rape.
