Cailan: “They won’t.”
Ilyan: “Pardon?”
Cailan: “If they did, they would be lying, and I would have them pay the price.”
Ilyan: [Just as I thought, this secret, can never be found out.]
for the messed up bit it says “Y-, Your majesty,”

So I’m guessing he misunderstood her question? Maybe he thought she was worried about more of these random women when she was testing the waters concerning her own condition because he clearly knows it was her that night. The doctor is suspicious and I’m betting a set up though I can’t be sure that the emperor knows she’s pregnant. It would just be strange he missed it considering how closely he’s watching her.

The dialogue got messed up a bit towards the end and couldn’t really be read, I know this is a bit old but it’ll cause future readers some issues.
