– Starts with a week having gone by, and a summary explaining the grandma had been embezzling from the estate ever since her daughter died and worried that the new bride would uncover it once she went over the ledgers (which she did). Hence the smear campaing and the plot.
– Allegedly Louis (oldest son) was never supposed to be hurt/killed, but doubtful. Grandma got kicked out of the Wyat family in the north. Ella (the head maid) got “only” exciled from the country since she showed remorse (turned on the grandma).
– Every servant who had been mistreating Yvette got fired and replaced. When hearing about that Natalia (duke’s daughter) went to her father and admitted to her own pranks and such, practically demanding to be grounded for her own hand in things. (The grounding ending that day thanks to timeskip).
– Yvette gets a personal aide (Jude), and Ivan (red head guard) wants to serve her since she saved his life. Turns out he also has a younger sister who works as a maid, who has become Yvette’s personal maid since Yvette trusts Ivan’s word.
– Yvette thanks the Duke for helping her (replacing the staff, etc) and he says to think nothing of it as it was only right. (Damn right).
– It’s revealed that with the death of Claudia (formed grand duchess) the preparations for Natalia to get a tutor fell through. They end up deciding that Yvette can be the tutor since she herself went through extensive tutoring and lessons when she was going to become a member of the royal family.
– Yvette receives invitation to tea party by the empress (mother of the crown prince), and Natalia wants to go as well so they plan to get new dresses.
– Yvette also gives Natalia and Hayden riding lessons and is thrilled by her progress with the family, seeing that at least they see her more warmly than when she arrived 2 months ago.
– She worries about Louis though because he has pulled away from everyone since the incident and is spending more time away from the manor.
