I feel bad for everyone 😭 Hailey chose to die leaving Lawrence clinging to their memories together. Lee jae doesn’t know if anyone loves her for her true self and not just the body she possessed or the powers she has. Roderick feels lost becuase he knows that “Hailey” is hiding something but he doesn’t want to ask her in fear that it will drive them apart. All of their feelings are a mess but conveyed so well that the chaos doesn’t overwhelm the reader
Poor Lawrence. All he did was fall in love. Then his girlfriend was sold to the King so had to let go of her. Just for all his love and sacrifice to come to nothing cause she died. I hope it works out for him in the end
