So, does the Duchess actually rule this empire or something? Last chapter the crown prince mentioned that she literally doesn’t have the right to set up a selection banquet for him, and we see in this chapter that the prince himself doesn’t care for it, yet there has been absolutely no pushback. I know the emperor has some reason not to want to protect his wife from being bullied by the duchess, but now its just ok for her to go after the crown prince and attempt to chain him down to one of her allies? It really feels like she just has more authority than the emperor himself.

The duchess is like throwing tantrum because the emperor decided to remarry after the late empress died. But because the emperor act like it’s okay for his second wife to be bullied, the duchess think she’s invincible. In this case, the emperor should take a lead and protect his wife but he’s not doing anything
