Ironically it is the Duke job to supervise the estate residents but he was not aware all those years about his brother’s mistreatment? The boy wasn’t eating food for 6 years? His grandfather who isn’t even involved in the house business knew but he didn’t? Neglect doesn’t just come from direct abuse, having the authority to direct stop the abuse but not getting involved is also neglect. Now he’s doing the same thing with his wife he’s just issuing orders and not seeing them through he’s really an irresponsible individual she’s a stranger to him but I can’t get over the fact that all those years he never had a proper conversation with his only brother when all it took is just his wife telling him to speak to him…. No one is that busy and his grandfather is also alive so how bad was it really for him!
