I think the “black powder” was just used coffee grains. I learned in culinary school that you can compost coffee grains and filters that have been used, as its very healthy for soil.

Can confirm. I throw my used coffee into the compost. Breaks down quickly and has nutrients that plants like.
Eggshells are also good for compost, but need to be baked or microwaved first to help them decompose.

As a barista, this chapter made me so happy. I relate to Loanna so much for wanting to make a cup of coffee for people who might not like coffee (we must convert them ALL) and the JOY you get when you recommend someone something spot on? Cloud 9 honestly.

I feel like i’m on cloud nine, my culture added in a these types of comics?!?! Besides lokum is hands down one of the best (for those who don’t know it’s like a jello but instead of it being slimy it’s covered with sugar and a tad bit dry without being too dry)
