Given my understanding of the timeline so far then Amelie only got officially engaged to Maxel after he won the position of crown prince. And when Maxel won, Heinrich was locked away in some “castle” or other to await news if he would be exiled or killed when his brother took the throne. After which he was probably under guard/surveillance until Amalie was executed.
… also, wondering if Lilian might not have foresight but might be a transmigrator so all her knowledge of the future is just from having read a novel/played a game.

y’all will see a “pitiful” looking male character lying through his teeth and immediately buy whatever he’s selling… if he actually liked her all along he’d have tried to help her. regretting it NOW that she’s a ressurected blessed by God whom literally everyone wants to use for their own gain is not only suspicious but on the face hypocritical. and he asks to see her face too? for what, sentimental reasons??? knowing she’s on the run and trying to hide her presence… that’s selfish, at the very best, or he was literally just trying to confirm her identity, either to sell her off, or to use her somehow. I’m sorry, but someone in his position is literally untrustworthy. I don’t understand why y’all are always so ready to defend male characters that are objectively shitty (Samuel) or obviously suspicious (this prince).
