Don’t Be Carelessly Friendly - Chapter 32

I’m slightly confused. The wording of the missing 47 children, only 5 returned as corpses originally made it seem like the others were alive (but in those tubes?), but now it seems like out of 47 , 5 bodies were found, 1 was alive, and the other 41 were never found?

Just wondering which was accurate.
