   I see no reasone why she needed to do a tracheostomy instead of just doing the hymlic. It would have dislodged the food without having to cut into her, and if the food was shallow enough that a tracheostomy was successful it was shallow enough to either dislodge the food with her fingers, or the hymlic. Only reason I can see for it is they need it for the “you harmed a royal” plotline
