As much as I want more side story, I absolutely adore that it finished with Linden ending any generational trauma. Edward could’ve easily followed in his path, becoming antisocial, ruthless, and single minded, with only Elise changing him off the path of self destruction, but now he’s recognised those things in Edward and he became the healing love that he needed himself as a child, but never got. It’s just really nice to see how he healed from his trauma enough to pass that healing down through generations.
I do wish we saw what happened to Julienne’s brother though after losing his leg and right to succeed his family, and Mikhail’s puppy as an adult dog that travelled the world with him. Edward is only around 7 or 8, so Lise (the dog) should be 8-9. We deserved more Mil as a dog dad! Imagine him opening a sanctuary and becoming the first SPCA.
