I understand both brothers don’t hate each other. What I don’t understand is why linden wants a mass purge of the aristocracY (bc even Elise’s father isn’t innocent in landing his mother in prison) and why, even though he knows his mother and uncle did wrong, Michael insists on defending them. Take care of the masterminds, and Michael should give up the throne because he didn’t even want it other than to give back legitimacy to his mother
