Found the right chapter on a different platform, so to recap:
Ayla is shown to also wear the ring she got from Claude, and being a little flustered by her own decision to wear it. Her maid comments on her wearing the bracelet, thinking Ayla must like it a lot. Ayla agrees rather than explaining what’s actually going on.
Ayla meets up with Claude who is smitten, and also touched she’s wearing the ring. His compliments and behaviour has Ayla more flustered.
They leave for the party and people comment on how Claude is smiling warmly at her. Mention of the tea party where he came to pick her up. Then people comment on the diamond necklace, and also point out the ruby he bought for Ayla (tear of the ocean, might be in the crown?, and they all say how those are expensive). Someone then mocks that Ayla’s bracelet is odd/way too cheap to wear with the other jewels, claiming she’s lacking as a noble for “mismatching”.
Ayla is relieved people seem to have no suspicion about the bracelet.
Then she overhears people talking about how Ayla’s father will apparently attend the party and they’re eager to see how she’ll react since the OG Ayla apparently never even looks at him after she was sold off to pay his debt.
Ayla is wondering if the father will notice she’s not actually his daughter, and also remembers that in the book Ayla’s father was said to never attend parties at all due to his shame. She also wonders whether OG Ayla not seeking out her father seems to be a discrepancy from the book. Chapter ends before we can learn what the book said about this example.
