i am impressed by how the emperor perceived shadow as being no different from each other, no matter what the gender, societal status, etc, of a person has when looking at their shadows, we are just humans, in existence; all trying to survive and live. BIG WORDS. That phrase from the emperor speaks so much volume of how, us, as a person facing issues such as the toxic beauty standards, racism, colorism, gender discrimination, violence, etc in society as a whole. This describes so many people and I think that’s quite impressive because I haven’t read much manhwas and webtoons with this kind of lines in the story. THIS IS CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. Confused of how people aren’t hitting this up already in their reading list.
