Ngl, I feel bad for his half brother since it doesn’t look like he wanted to take the thrown but it was that nasty mothers idea

I don’t feel bad for the brother, because they are all practically on the same boat (inc. ML and FL), if you want certain position and power they have to possess a specific set of skill to get and maintain that position. Not to mention that within the class based system, those of the higher or ruling class they are expected to rule and provide well for their subject, literally they are responsible for the lives and future of their subjects. So the brother should’ve done his due diligence and studied harder to match his mother’s ambition, since it seemed apparent that he cannot even stop his mother nor have the balls to say “fuck it I don’t want the throne”. What does he think? He can get his cake and eat it too?
