It is called “Cruel to be kind”, its clear that crown prince is psyco who kills every night and that after kings death only way forward is civil war, since her husband is economic and political powerhouse only he can take prince down.
Plus, she is now in position of power, she nows only bows to king and no one else (well and to her husband) and faster she learns that the better

I think they are trying to make her jealous and out of control for the possible mistress rumour but she does not care. Haha.. The Duke cannot break her. I think she does not love him at all. It was just a sence of responsibility for her family and as a duchess. Chloe is really lovely and intelligent. I can see the Duke fell for her but cannot get her attention. 🤣
