Mom is tight about not offering kindness unless you intend to continue. That will lead to false hope and can really shatter her if she returns to hell after. But I think ML will be kind now and later. He seems genuinely caring and takes the role of husband seriously.
Wonder if the drugs mixed with acting is why she is crazy. That’s how she services. Then she can kind of think when her mind clears of the drugs but she still has to keep up the act due to the abuse and threat to her life
