She should ask for a female officer. I mean she was just assaulted by a man and accusing(he did) he tried to rape her. If they say no she has even more of a reason to file a complaint.
And the officer bringing up information irrelevant to the situation like it does anything is wrong. They are not in a relationship, she didnt give consent, and the recording picked him up saying he would force her. And besides, there is still rape in relationships. I have no words for that “cop”, actually I have several but none of them would be appropriate to say here. He was more interested in protecting the perpetrator than the victim! Why the heck should she care about his well earned criminal record following him around for the rest of his life?
