can you blame her she was ignored by her whole family for 10 fucking years! It takes more then an apology for making people mistreat her and look at her with those gazes. What is there to explain they never even tried to make a single contact with her based on a prophecies. They never gave her the chance to show them who she truly is because they treated her like trash. If they really had a great reason the least they could have done was giving her enough money to est and put clothe on her shoulder or even send one servant to report how she is a least once a year. but it wasn’t just the prophecy that kept the emperor away. it was because the woman he loved broke his heart and abandoned him to have ashtarte. does it give them the right to be forgiven? no. I think ashtarte should be the one to decide that. but saying they can’t try to make amends ever is pretty harsh.
I also think ashtarte is being really oblivious about all of this. the emperor giving her a knightage wasn’t out of guilt but fear that someone would try to hurt her. remember, ashtarte is public enemy #1 in this scenario. people want her dead or to disappear from their lives forever.

I have no words though right now I feel so – so… I too felt like the king did not deserve to read the diary of his wife because if he truly loved his wife then he should’ve known that the mother loved her children I mean it could have happened with their sons as well and yet he went to isolate and hate the child (resent). Also shouldn’t he see if there were any birth records of her even have any twins in her womb, for the all the time he knew the pregnancy of his wife the stomach should’ve shown the size of a single or twin pregnancy. Ashtarte went through hell and was done very wrong. I am SO upset right now. To actually see if she was a threat to the kingdom he should have both his sons tail each of his “daughters” to see if one showed signs of manipulation and darkness with ill intentions towards the kingdom. Have both of them gone through trials that no one not even the church is allowed to have sway.
