Nah. They kill civilian who was tired of taxes n tried to kill the king. It was silly because one it shows that the king is greedy, secondly the ML slashes him with his sword while fl holds him Down with black magic, as if he did a great job , was this civilian a swordmaster uh no, was he a magician uh no, he was basically a stupid emotional fool , not even a master planner. Hell no . Then they go about the rest of the story without explaining why it happened. Turns out it was just use as pretext to make our FL look good. It was done poorly.
