After reading this story it got me thinking, has there ever been a “wife action” in IRL history? To my surprise yes “wife actions” were a thing. However, divorce was a practical impossibility for all but the very wealthiest in 17th century England. It was said that wives were paraded with a halter around their neck, arm, or waist, and a husband would publicly auction her to the highest bidder. Much like you see above. That crazy!!

Wow that is a crazy information, though I suppose it makes sense since female does not have equal right with men back then.

Cause women don’t have power for ambitious back then….. That’s why women are oppressed & trampled on by men & people who are more powerful back then
