Is she a little dense? Why would she think none of the demons and evil spirits are real? That man literall regressed everytime he dies and burned down an entire empire and left nothing but ash but it’s impossible for demons not to exist because the author didn’t mention it? Really? In a fantasy novel? They don’t need to, it’s implied. Especially if it has holy knights and temples. And she’s an editor so she actually should know better and know the supernatural is present in fantasy novels. Especially considering it’s what sent her there because it definitely wasn’t science. I just don’t understand how she held doubt and disbelief up until this point and still doubted if Texas strangling himself? So he just levitate himself off the ground too. Make that make sense. She should’ve realized by now she’s the only one who can’t see anything, especially because everyone else she’s encountered in the world can. Enough that she got burned for it on her second regression to the beginning of the story.

I know , why is she acting lika a dunce. It was fine for first few chapters but if she keeps on being an idiot, its really spoling the story

She believes the ‘demons’ are superstition and belief. She cannot see or feel their affect, and they were never mentioned in the novel as real, so it is very easy for her to think of them as the product of imagination. Especially since she can put on a little show and everyone’s doubts get cleared away and become sunshiny. She usually enters the haunted places alone, so the demons don’t affect her or anyone else, and when she does have the knights with her, it mainly just seems like they’re scared or threatening the air. This is the first time she has seen someone actually affected by the demons, and it does look like the man is doing it to himself. Since she thinks this is a brain washing cult, it is even more plausible to her that these demons are not real, and are merely superstitious hokum used to control the believers.
