As it’s something that I’ve even seen with English subtitles for asian dramas on Netflix, I’ve gotten better at ignoring incorrect pronouns in translations. But there are quite a few series on this site where it’s too much of a headache to ignore.

Yeah, Korean and such doesn’t have distinct gendered pronouns when talking about people iirc. In another translated story I read character A knew the MC personally (a girl who had a male character in an online game) while character B only knew the online personality. As A and B talked about the main character they both used she/he without noticing the other was using “the wrong pronouns” and the translation note said both were using the same pronoun in the OG language which is why neither could tell the other “used wrong gender” about the person
